Snoring

Do you hear complaints from your bed partner that your snoring keeps them up at night?

Do you get a nudge in the night to roll over so that you stop snoring? Would you like to recover your spare room for guests instead of using it for the family member who snores?

Snoring is caused by the vibration of saggy, low hanging tissue in the airway.  As we get older, not only does our skin on the outside lose its elasticity, but the tissue on the inside of our bodies does as well.  Often called “the punching bag”, the uvula and surrounding tissues can actually change shape, causing them to elongate and even become puffy and inflamed.  As air is exchanged in and out of the mouth, these inside tissues flutter in and out as well causing the flapping noise we call snoring.

At SleepRight McKinney, we have several non-surgical, non-invasive options to help you stop snoring for good. Give a call to schedule an appointment so that everyone in your household can get a better night sleep.
